ASA Central PA & PBX Volunteers Help Habitat for Humanity of Greater Harrisburg
July 23, 2019
Two not-for-profit trade associations in the area have joined together to help our local community. The American Subcontractors Association of Central Pennsylvania (ASACP) and the Pennsylvania Builders Exchange (PBX) joined forces to create a program called Perfect Partners. Together they host various local networking and educational activities and events that relate to the commercial construction industry. Members from both associations united to support their second Volunteer Day for Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area on Friday, July 19, 2019.
Volunteers from Poole Anderson Construction, Digging & Rigging, Inc., Warehaus Architects, Design and Engineers, Pennsylvania Builders Exchange (PBX) and American Subcontractors Association of Central PA worked through the sweltering heat at several homes in Camp Hill removing items that could be resold at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore including doors, windows, cabinets, railings and more. ASA of Central PA and PBX made sure their volunteers were taken care of by providing snacks, Gatorade, lots of water (thanks to Poole Anderson) and a cold lunch for the crew. Crew Leader Bill Pierce of Habitat for Humanity provided direction to the volunteers.
